Until now, a lot of rumors and official announcements revealed about the Nothing Phone (2). A few weeks ago, Nothing founder Carl Pei confirmed that the Nothing Phone (2) to launch in July. Additionally, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Today, Carl Pei shared a post that announces the phone’s display size and sustainability. Here are the details about the specs and display size of the Nothing Phone (2).
Nothing Phone (2) display is 0.15″ bigger than Phone (1)
According to the latest official announcements, the upcoming phone will feature a 0.15″ bigger display than its predecessor, Phone (1). Carl Pei, Nothing founder, revealed that the second model of the phone series will feature a 6.7-inch display with likely FullHD+ panel. Also, it has a carbon footprint of 53.45 kg, which is more than 5 kg less than the Phone (1).
Another significant announcement is about the sustainability of the upcoming device. Nothing announced that the Phone (2) comes with an improved carbon footprint, recycled or bio-based materials, and more. Here is the sustainability progress of the Nothing Phone (2):
- 100% recycled tin on 9 circuit boards
- 100% recycled copper foil on the main circuit board
- Over 90% recycled steel on all 28 steel stamping parts
- 80% of plastic parts sustainably sourced
- 100% recycled aluminum mid-frame made with 100% renewable energy.
- Final assembly plants are powered by 100% renewable energy
- The package is plastic-free, and the box uses mix certified with over 60% recycled fibre.
Furthermore, the company confirmed that it will continue to offer 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates, and adds, “So Phone (2) can go further with you.”
